About Me & My Services

I received my PhD from Kent State University with a minor in Organizational Behavior.  I began my consulting career in 1982 and have over 35 years experience working with both non-profit and for-profit organizations.  In 2007, I completed the requirements to become a Diplomate (ABPP) in Business and Organizational Consulting.  From 2002 to 2016, I proudly served as Director of the Organizational Track at Pacific University, School of Graduate Psychology.

What You Can Expect

HONESTY, INTEGRITY AND COLLABORATION
My abiding premise in all of the services I provide is that my clients know more about their organizations or their training, supervision and therapy goals than I do. To work effectively and add value, I must develop trusting and collaborative relationships . One of my strongest competencies is "curiosity." Through curiosity and active inquiry, I will learn more and more about you and the environments that impact and influence you. I always suggest an initial exploratory meeting so that we can assess our fit and to determine if we want to go forward and establish a working relationship. Initial meetings will be billed only if you decide you want to hire me and contract with me for the services I provide.

Description of Services

organizational consulting
I specialize in working with organizations to improve the relationships between employees, managers and those that they supervise, members of management (and other types of) teams and Board members. Enhanced work relationships lead to greater productivity and job satisfaction.

executive/manager leadership development

One of the fastest ways to improve overall employee job satisfaction and to make desired changes in an organization 's culture is through one on one well planned leadership development, sometimes called coaching sessions. I develop leadership development programs individually tailored to address the specific needs and goals of the clients I contract with and the program usually involves "homework" (readings or assigned activities) between coaching sessions.

organizational training
I can provide training to managers or employees on a range of topics including teams and groups in the workplace, contemporary leadership theories, managing conflict, organizational culture, factors in job satisfaction and effective communication styles.

Additional Services

supervision
I am a licensed psychologist in both Oregon and Washington.  I am registered with the Oregon Board of Psychologist Examiners and can provide post-doctoral or post-master's supervision to those needing to complete the residency requirements to become a licensed psychologist or psychologist associate. I am also approved in Oregon to provide supervision to those seeking licensure as a licensed professional counselor.

psychotherapy for psychotherapists
I maintain a small private psychology practice and have limited availability to provide psychotherapy/consultation to psychotherapists (private pay only in most cases.)

Gestalt therapy training
I have been training Gestalt therapists in the US and internationally for 35 years. I am one of the Directors of Gestalt Therapy Training Center Northwest . Please read more by visiting our web site at gttcnw.org
